Frictional Games teases new game with a heartbeat - stankoades1944

Resistance Games set up a site to tease its next game, and it's got a heartbeat (via PC Gamer).

Frictional Games makes very good horror games, including the Penumbra series, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, and SOMA. The latter of these snagged a office on our alternative games of the ten lean, because it scared me and that is a big pot. Unconvinced? I'm the designated "spider fascinate and release" person in my house, and SOMA made my skin creep. Quite an the admission for a thrill-seeker such as myself. Frictional Games has begun to tease its next venture with an confirmed website, and information technology appears to be… animated.

Last week, this minute thing in the centre of the site was microscopic. It looked like a nerve cell, operating room a trifle of fluff from under the sofa. The Gamer checked sprouted on this whatever-it-is, flickering like a pulse, and now it's gotten bigger. IT's also stretching teeny petite tendrils from its core into the darkness. That's reassuring.

The Gamer started digging for clues, and for that ground, I would like them on my team when this thing decides information technology's time to see the sights. When IT was in its neuron leg, the filename of the looping video was "1230.mp4." In its bean represent, the computer filename for this video is "0106.mp4", suggesting that these are in fact dates and we'll get a new evolution with each calendar week. Time to get cracking on the photo album, then. "Ohio, that's when it started walking! And then when information technology Ate the dog! Look, remember when information technology drew us that lovely depict of the sun engulfing the earth?"

Frictional Games' monsters are memorable, but they don't assay the spotlight. I doubt that we'll get a full-fledged creature from the teaser website, but the biological notions of neurons and cells insinuates a sci-fi shocker. Look on this space for updates, Beaver State maybe get cosy in the bunkers.
